 THE COIN COLLECTOR:

From 1979 until around 1982, there was a large buildup of Mexican cartels fighting one another over ownership of the right to sell drugs at the boarding states of Texas, Arizona, and California.  These drug wars spilled over the Arizona / Mexico borders, with large numbers of illegal immigrants trying to flee the brutal gun battles.  With the fighting going on, it distracted the Border Patrols from monitoring the large numbers of Illegal immigrants that spilled over into the United States.  Going unchecked, until Mexican nationals started reporting the disappearance of their family members, who’d crossed over the border to never be seen or heard from again.  It was believed Mexican cartels were randomly killing their own citizens for sport as they tried to cross into the United States, but that was soon dismissed when Mexican and American authorities started investigating the strange disappearances of missing immigrants.  American authorities stumbled upon a mutilated family of Mexican nationals on the property of a retired U.S. soldier; who detested anyone on his land and sought revenge on those responsible when authorities refused to help.  Authorities suspected a recluse that inherited the land from family, but could not get any solid leads until the death of the town Sheriff, who’s DNA mysteriously turns up in one of the strangest places imagined.  A hunt for his killer and the elusive treasure many speak of still ensues to this very day.

Soldier

Once a pacifists now a fighter,

Lurking within the shadows of terror.

Dare to dream, for if you fall asleep,

Your throat is cut only inches deep.

Your slumber of hate and love for freedom,

Give me death instead of your glory.

I am a soldier, that’s all I will be,

I am your savior of freedom and victory to be.

I See My Mind

Past the thickness of lifeless flesh,

So do I ponder the realm of wrong and right?

Pudding mass with electric responses,

Memories of today locked in my filing cabinet.

Scanning a vision of yesterday’s past,

A tear is shed for what once was.

A lifetime is spent think and pondering,

My mind is now resting in a bed of stone.
